Blackboard FAQ
Q. How can I put my personal web site into my Blackboard course?
Follow the steps below:
- First, make sure your web pages use relative links.
- Package all your files into a single folder and zip them.
- Go to the Control Panel of your Blackboard course site.
- Choose the content area where you would like to display your web site.
- Click Add Item and follow the instructions on the screen.
- Make sure to choose Unpackage This File by clicking the drop-down menu in the Content Attachment area.
- Then click the Submit button to finish your task.
The personal web site in your Blackboard course will not be visible to anyone who is not part off that course (registered students, teaching assistants, etc.), nor will it be visible when the course is no longer active. If you would prefer to have a public or permanent personal web site, you can use your account on OAK, instead; see http://technology.ohio.edu/support/webpages/ and pages linked from there. Once that site is in place, you can link to it from any Blackboard course, just as you can link to any other internet resource.
